The Easy, Time Consuming Way to Straighten Your Hair

Ok so i have really curly hair and I prefer to wear it straight, but somedays it takes forever and it dries out and damages my hair really fast. Hear are some tips that i found to be heplful!

Always always always use some kind of heat protectanton your hair! it seriously hepls! I promise! I like to use Dove Heat Therapy shamoos and conditioners and the also have a heat protectant spray that i like to use. Spray the heat protectant through your hair very generously so it is kind of damp, it dries really fast.

Next to get your hair as straight as possible you will need to get a good flat iron. I like the brand hot tools found at Sally's Beauty Supply, the flat irons have adjustable heat for different hair types. make sure you use the right setting for your hair because u can litterally burn your hair right off!

I would invest in some duckbill clips, also found at Sally's, to section your hair off. It is a lot easier to straighten your hair in layers and skinny sections, this way all you have to do is go over the layer once and it should be pretty straight, instead of going over a thick section a few times which can fry your hair even faster. Sometimes the flat iron gets so hot that when your done straightening a section it is so hot when it touches your skin. It is also best to use a comb to brush the snarls out before you straighten a section too because that can also damage your strands as well. Keep sectioning your hair into thin layers and no matter what your length is it should only take you between 20 to 30 min and your hair should be silky, shiny and smooth!
