How To Get That Perfect Smokey Eye

Have you always wondered how everyone has that awesome smokey eye? Well i have some easy steps to try. You can use any color to do a smokey eye but most women use blacks and grays, and u want to use a shimmery shaddow instead of a glitter shaddow. I use L'Oreal hip shaddows because they are shimmery and they have a big variety of duo compacts.

The first step is to prime your eye lids. if u dont have an eyeshaddow primer u can just use an oil free concealer. After u prime your eyelids apply a neutral color to your whole eye, like a white or something that is close to your skintone, whichever u prefer is fine, from your brow bone to your lashes.

Second, line your entire Eye, top and bottom lashes, with eyeliner. I like to use NYC black eyeliner and the I go over the liner again with liquid eyeliner. Try to get as close to your lashes and possible. If you want to be really dramatic, you can do a cat eye! make sure that you soften the liner, you can use a Q-tip or if you have a shadow brush you can use that.

Third, apply the black shaddow. A Q-tip works best or if u have the sponge applicator that works well too. But only apply the black shaddow over the softened eyeliner. Then choose a brown or a gray or a combination of both. Apply the color with either the applicator or an eyeshadow brush, starting at the lash line and going to the crease of your lid, and ending directly under your brow bone. The basic effect will look like an oval when you close your eye.

Last take the black shaddow again and apply lightly to your bottom lashes, over the soften eyeliner you should have applied already. Then take the brown or gray shaddow and apply it over the the black kind of smudging it together, but be careful not to make it too thick or you will have a raccoon eye. Then grab your favorite mascarra and apply two or 3 coats to the top and at least two coats to the bottom lashes.

Congratulations! you should have a gorgeous smokey eye!
